Delta Trinsic Pull Down Kitchen Faucet: 9159 DTS vs. 9959 DTS, What’s The Difference?

Delta’s Pull-down kitchen faucets are among the most popular on our site and some of the best selling on Amazon. In this post, I’ll be focusing on Delta’s Trinsic collection of pull down kitchen faucets. If you’ve been thinking of buying this model, this post should help answer your questions.

What Is Delta Trinsic Kitchen Faucet?

There are several things that set the Trinsic Collection from others by Delta, either from design or technology perspective. Here’s what you can expect from the Trinsic collection (some features are available on specific models only):

Design wise, the Trinsic collection has a very modern and sleek design.

Tech wise, you should find these impressive features:

  • MagnaTite Docking: a feature in the pull down spray head that uses magnets to secure the head in place when not in use. So unlike cheaper faucets, the spray head will never dangle.
  • Touch2O Technology: this touch sensor allows you to turn on or off the water flow just by touching any part of the faucet or handle. So whether your hands are messy or full, you don’t need to drop down everything in hand to turn the water on/off, touch your faucet with your write, arm or even the back of your hand to operate it.
  • TempSense LED light changes color to alert you of the water’s temperature.
  • Touch-Clean Spray Holes: Rubber spray holes allows for easy cleaning with a simple wipe of a finger.

Available Finishes:

Trinsic faucets are available in these finishes: Chrome, Arctic Stainless Steel, Matte Black, Champagne Bronze and Black Stainless Steel.

Features of Delta Trinsic Pull Down Kitchen Faucet:

  • Single-handle pull down kitchen faucet.
  • Diamond Seal technology: patented technology that reduces lead points and lasts twice as long as the industry standard. It ensures leak-free operation for the life of the faucet.
  • Magnetic docking uses a powerful magnet located in the sprayer’s head so it snaps back into place after use and remains securely in place.
  • Touch-Clean rubber holes in the sprayer makes cleaning any calcium or lime build-up as easy as wiping it away with your finger.

As you can see from the comparison above, both models come with the same basic functionalities. The Trinsic 9159 comes with a few extra bells and whistles, but the flow rate, installation and all ‘basics’ of the faucets are the same.

So, which one to buy will depend on your budget first, and whether or not you want some extra features like the temperature Light sensor or voice controls.

There’s also a few differences in dimensions between the two models, these are not big enough to influence many decisions, but do look at them if they might make a difference to you.
