Vitamix is certainly one of the most premium blenders available on the market right now. Even though it’s considered to be on the high end, price wise, it’s still a very popular purchase. The reason for that is that people know they’re getting their money’s worth when they buy a Vitamix.

With its wide range of personalization and insane power, you can use your Vitamix to create everything from smoothies, soups, nut butters, juices, ice cream and much more. People love Vitamix because it comes pre-programmed with settings to create the perfect smoothies, hot soups, desserts, purees and self cleaning setting. It takes the guess work out of your routine and blends automatically so you get what you want right away. And of course, you can always experiment with different settings to create your favorite recipes.

The one difference between these two models is the control panel on the 780, which is the upgraded version of the 750, it’s a digital touchscreen control panel that makes controlling the blending a lot easier with simple taps. This digital control panel is scratch and crack resistant, and it won’t be affected by any spills or splashes.

Everything else in these blenders is the same. They’re quality build machines, fully made in the USA.

Which One Should You Buy?

If this is going to be your first Vitamix, then without a doubt, go for the latest model, the 780.

If you already have the 750 model, we really don’t see the reason for an upgrade (unless your blender is worn out, and we doubt that, these blenders don’t wear out easily!) Getting the 780 only for its digital control panel is not worth it since you already have all the other great features.

The 5200 is part of Vitamix C-series (The Classic Blenders). It’s also known as the Getting Started blender, so it doesn’t have the same features as the Professional grade 780. Apart from the touchscreen digital control that the 780 has, which is an obvious difference by now, the 5200 is not as powerful with 2-peak horsepower instead of 2.2 like the 780. Also, the 5200 doesn’t have any pre-sets for the most used functions like smoothies, soups or purees, it has to be manually controlled and adjusted.
